The Hokkaido Potters Society and The Oregon Potters Association has a long-standing relationship, with collaborative exhibits, and studio demonstrations both in Japan and in Oregon.  In October 2023, the Hokkaido Pottery Society invited the OPA to select the artwork of 24 members to be exhibited alongside their works in Hokkaido Japan.
