June Ceramic Socials

Fri, June 04, 2021 4:58 PM | Connie Cheifetz (Administrator)

Thursday, June 10, 5-7pm

4614 SE Salmon St, Portland. Janet Buskirk & Jim Koudelka

We will socialize outside in the yard. Please wear a mask. You are welcome to bring picnic dinner, beverages and a chair! We will be finishing setting up our Studio Sale, and you can have a sneak preview. We are also happy to talk about how we organize the sale, if you are interested. Or you can just visit with other members and friends. Kids are welcome, we have a swing set and our 13 year old would be happy to organize a Nerf battle. Reserve your spot here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0B4BA5A828A0F94-opapottery

Friday, June 11th 6pm

6734 N Burrage Ave, Portland Connie Cheifetz

Come sit and chat in an overabundant city backyard. Bring your own supper, chilled minty water provided, maybe even some fresh strawberries & raspberries! Please bring a mask to wear when not eating. We’ve got tables & chairs for about 20, more if you don’t mind sitting on the grass or bringing your own chair. Just across from Arbor Lodge Park, where your kids can romp around, if you’d like. Please RSVP conniejean1956@gmail.com so I know how many to expect.

Friday, June 11th 6pm

19438 SW Neugebauer Road, Hillsboro Larry & Debi Nelson

Join the Nelsons on their woodsy homestead. Come ‘self-sufficient’ with your own chair and picnic, though some homebrew may be available. We have room for lots of folks and about 20 cars. It would be helpful if you’d RSVP nelson@chehaylemmountainpottery.com so we know how many are coming. Bring your musical instruments. We can set up the PA system on our outdoor stage and if you mention that in your RSVP. Outdoors (or if you're fully vaxxed and basted) masks are not required.

Saturday, June 12th 2:00 pm

25672 Gap Road, Brownsville Rhoda Fleishman

Come to this idyllic farm where you can visit with ducks and sheep and potters, plus a big beautiful garden. Bring a chair, or a picnic blanket, your own beverages and snacks for a relaxing afternoon of clay camaraderie. Outside there’s room for 30, fewer if we are inside. RSVP flashpointartworks@gmail.combut if you get a last minute urge to come by, do so! We’re easy to find--- I-5 to the Brownsville exit, once in Brownsville (4 miles off the freeway) turn south at the 76 gas station and go 3.2 miles on Washburn/Gap Rd.  Rhoda has big signs, and a blue mailbox. She’s got a large parking lot, but carpooling is a nice idea. She also reports that Brownville is a fun little town to explore if you want to make a day of it.
