Daniel Baker Noble, 68, of Skamania, WA passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 in Hospice Care in Vancouver, WA. He was born February 9, 1949 in Longview, WA, the son of the late Tom and Mary Rae Noble.
Dan was a 1967 graduate of R.A. Long High School in Longview, where he was an accomplished swimmer, and attended Central Washington State University in Ellensburg, developing his passion for pottery. Dan served in the U.S. Air Force, stationed at Ramstein Air Force Base in Kaiserslautern, Germany, taking advantage of the opportunity to travel in Europe during that time. Upon his return, he became a specialist in hydraulics and pneumatic systems, working primarily in sales.
Dan was a talented clay artist, with a pottery studio at his home. Exhibiting his beautiful work in many shows and galleries, most frequently the Oregon Potters Association Ceramic Showcase in Portland.
Dan is survived by his wife Elsie, step daughter Erin Petrequin (Jade) of Portland OR, sisters Amy Noble Novitsky (David) of Lenox, MA and Sue Harris (Jeff) of Longview, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tom Noble Jr. We will all miss Dan's big grin and bear hugs.
A Celebration of Life/ Birthday Dinner will be held at the IBEW Hall at 1145 Commerce Avenue, Longview, WA at 5:30 pm, Friday, February 9, 2018.
