Artist Statement
I love having the freedom to experiment with form and decoration. I am quite intrigued by lidded pots and the many ways to cover a form. It is especially gratifying to know that I am supplying people, most of whom I don't even know, with something of beauty that they can hold and use and make a part of their homes.
Biography
I have been making pottery almost my whole adult life, since my first class at Scripps College. I have had my own studios at home, as well as being a part of several ceramics communities. I sell my work at my own home sales, group sales, and at the White Bird Gallery in Cannon Beach. For many years my part time pottery work was the perfect balance to my main occupation as a psychotherapist. Now that I am retired, I have the luxury of focusing on my creative outlet.
