Artist Statement
I've been working in clay for fifty years, full time for 37 years and still love firing different clay bodies in various firing ranges. While most of my recent work is cone 6 porcelain, I do make time to wood fire with the amazing community potters here in the northwest.
Biography
BA Ceramics 1984-Portland State University. Studied with Ray Grimm and Andrea Joseph. MFA Ceramics 1986- School of The Art Institute of Chicago. First started working in clay at age 12 at Whitford Jr. High with Joy McClellen ( Thomassen) and continued at Sunset High with Woody Blettel. Apprenticed with Joel Cottet for three years mixing all his clay and glazes.
