Description of your classes you offer
Join Aubrey Sloan in the East Creek studio for 1:1 and 1:2 instruction. Sessions are 4 hours of instruction from 11:30a-4:30p with a one hour break for lunch.

Aubrey is proprietor of Vibrant Pottery, with over 10 years of clay making experience, including a BFA with a focus in ceramics.

Instruction is student paced, and focused on addressing each participants goals for growth and learning objectives.
When students sign up for a private lesson, we will email to get a general understanding of your goals, and the number of participants joining for the lesson.

11:30a-11:45a
Each session will begin with a 15 minute goal setting conversation to establish the focuses of the days lesson.
11:45a-1:30p
Next will be a 1 hr and 45 min instruction time where we will work on goals we have set for the day.
1:30p-2:30p Lunch
At 1:30p we will break for an hr lunch. You are free to continue working in the studio independently during this time, and guided lessons will resume at 2:30p
2:30p-4:15p
For the last 2 hrs we will continue to work on the goals set out for the day.
4:15p-4:30p Wrap Up
At 4:15p we will lay out a plan for the work created during the lesson. Plans to have bisque fired at East Creek, potential for wood firing, or Raku in a future firing at East Creek.

Instruction could include:
-Throwing skills
-Trimming and finishing of pieces
-Carving and surface texture
-Creating matching sets of functional work
-Loading and firing electric kilns
-Glazing and surface considerations for finishing work
-Basic wood fire focused pieces
-Raku firing

Materials included:
-25 lbs of clay from the East Creek studio
-Up to 2 cubic feet of bisque

*extra bags of clay available for $15
