Artist Statement
I primary hand build using slab to bring my visions to life. I love the meditative aspect of sitting in my studio and focusing on the creation and decoration of each piece as they take shape. I’m meticulous in my approach, taking great care to ensure that every item is crafted with precision and love.
My work is functional, made using stoneware clay that is first bisque fired. After which, I have a bit of fun applying tape or vinyl stickers to the pieces, which I then hand-paint with great attention to detail. My inspiration comes from the bold and timeless aesthetics of West German and American mid-century art, and I strive to bring a bit of that era's charm into modern-day living. Conversely, I also take inspiration from the mist-laden landscape of Tillamook Forest while mushroom hunting to bring an organic fluidity and a subtle simplicity, grounding the mid-century influences in the ever-evolving patterns of nature.
Biography
While I consider myself as newer potter I dabbled in pottery for many years throughout high school and collage and it wasn't until just a few years ago when a friend asked me to join them in a pottery class that i feel in love with the work. I have always been someone who greatly enjoys discovering and working with their hands whether it's tearing apart some sort of equipment to see how it works, building fine furniture or making couture clothing, I am an artist at heart and will never stop creating.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about my work. I hope my pieces can find a spot in your life, bringing both beauty and utility to your everyday experiences.
