Artist Statement
I create functional pottery that weaves beauty into daily life. My color palettes and textures invoke the natural landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. I strive to make utilitarian wares that fit comfortably in the hands while making everyday rituals a celebration.
Biography
Angela (she/her) found her way to clay through archaeology, where she had the opportunity to study and catalog ancient pottery. After a long interlude living abroad and working as a researcher and educator, Angela dove back into her own art practice in 2021 and fell in love with clay again. Since then, she has combined her love of plants and clay into nature-inspired functional pottery and enjoys inspiring others to get messy and creative while teaching art workshops.
