For the 3rd time Prosper Portland has granted OPA a location for a short term retail gallery in Downtown Portland.
We are creating a cooperatively run gallery for OPA members.
Participating artists are expected to work one shift per week.
We envision a bright open space; shelves brimming
with high quality clay work and clusters of
pedestals highlighting large & unique pieces.

Registration & Participation Instructions
Please read through these instructions carefully to see if
this is a good fit for you and your work.
Registration: There are 40 openings. A waitlist will be implemented, if needed. Your registration is not considered complete until you submit publicity images. Instructions below.
Costs: $50 registration deposit. Total for participants: 20% of sales. Deposit not refunded if you drop out and don't participate, but will be included in payment checks in January.
Location: 700 SW 5th Ave. Inside Pioneer Place, lower level across from Made in Oregon and around the corner from the brand new Taiwanese restaurant, Din Tai Fung
Gallery Dates & Times: Daily, November 4th - December 31st Hours 11am-7pm Closed Thanksgiving & Christmas.
Work Commitment - Behind the scenes: 1 3-hour shift during Set Up: Oct, 24th-Nov 2nd; or Work Drop Off Oct 28th-30th; or distributing cards & flyers; or Breakdown Jan 1-3
Work Commitment - In the Gallery: Participating artists will work the equivelent of 1 5-hour shift per week in the gallery. The work schedule will be built to accommodate people’s individual needs, as much as possible. Number of shifts needed will depend on how many participants we have, so encourage friends to sign up.
Allowed work for Sale: Sculptural and functional ceramic clay work of all types. Mugs and medium priced functional ware are always very popular, but large pieces have sold and attract buyers. NO SECONDS ALLOWED (no cracks, crawling glazes, rough edges, etc.) Bring your best ceramic work as we introduce OPA to a new demographic. Minimum price $5. Ornaments are welcome, but we don't want to look like just a Chrsitmas shop.
Price tags: We are using barcoded price tags. You will be provided with 50 of these to start. You will need to add a price and attach them to your work. If you have stickers left over from Showcase 2023, you can use them, but BARCODES FROM THE 2022 GALLERY ARE NOT VALID.
Drop off Days: Days to drop off your work are Saturday, Sunday, & Monday, October 28-30th 8am-11am or 7pm-9pm. At this time you will also check and approve your In Gallery work shifts.
