OPA Annual Picnic!

Please join us for the annual picnic at Champoeg Park, Oak Grove Picnic Site #4, along the Willamette River, near Newberg.

WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT?

-A Chili Cookoff! Bring your favorite chili, or a side dish that goes with chili. We will vote on our favorites!

-A Bowl Exchange! Bring a bowl, or other fun ceramic item, please disguise it in clever wrapping paper or a generic paper bag

-Bring your own utensils! Let's try not to make any garbage

-Are you bringing kids? We plan to have childcare. But please let us know how many kids you are bringing so we can plan accordingly!

WHO CAN COME?

Anyone is welcome! OPA Members, friends of OPA Members, other potters, OPA curious

WHAT ELSE SHOULD YOU KNOW?

-If you are one of the first 50 people to arrive, you will not have to pay the $5 Day Use Fee.  :-).  

-There is a Frisbee Golf Course in the picnic area.  And there is a canoe and kayak launch right there on the Willamette River.    Also, there is a trail to the Butteville Store (about 2 miles).  The park has a nice Visitor’s Center and also a museum complex nearby with a reconstructed pioneer cabin.  

 -We have Oak Grove 4 picnic site reserved for the day, which has a covered area with 20 picnic tables, a sink, countertops and electricity.
