OPA Annual Picnic!

Join us for the annual picnic at Champoeg Park, Oak Grove Picnic Site #4, along the Willamette River.

Date: Sunday, September 22

Time: Noon - 4pm

What to Expect

• Chili Cookoff: Bring your favorite chili or a side dish that goes well with chili. We will vote on our favorites, and there will be prizes!
• Bowl Exchange: Bring a bowl or other fun ceramic item, cleverly disguised in wrapping paper or a generic paper bag.
• Eco-Friendly: Bring your own utensils to help us minimize waste.
• Childcare: We plan to provide childcare. Please let us know how many kids you are bringing so we can plan accordingly. A suggested donation of $10 per child is appreciated but not required. 
• PLEASE NOTE: If you would like Childcare, and have not already let us know, please Email Us to make certain there is still available space

Everyone is welcome! This includes OPA Members, friends of OPA Members, other potters, OPA curious, clay curious, and more...

Additional Information

• Early Bird Bonus: The first 50 people to arrive will not have to pay the $5 Day Use Fee.
• Activities: There is a Frisbee Golf Course in the picnic area, a canoe and kayak launch on the Willamette River, and a trail to the Butteville Store (about 2 miles). The park also has a Visitor’s Center and a museum complex with a reconstructed pioneer cabin.
• Facilities: Oak Grove Picnic Site #4, reserved for the day, features a covered area with 20 picnic tables, a sink, countertops, and electricity.
