Meredith is an icon in eye popping contemporary tableware and textiles with retro vibes. A visiting artist from Kansas City, Missouri, her work has been featured in Ceramics Monthly.
She obsesses about ubiquitous domestic patterns subtly quilted on the paper products we use and throwaway every day, then reinterprets them in the context of other domestic objects meant for daily use.
See Meredith's work at her website: https://meredithhost.com/
You're invited to learn her transfer making and decorating techniques in this two day workshop! Bring in your own leather hard ware to work on and/or participants will be provided with 2-3 leather hard blanks to work on. Underglazes provided. Firing finished items done in the workshop included.
Participants will provide their own sack lunch.
