Wheel Throwing With Tea Duong

Price: $150 + materials fee for a bag of clay ($25 for a bag of B-mix or $15 for a bag of reclaim)

Improve your throwing skills in this 2 day workshop with Tea Duong. In this workshop you will learn tips and techniques from Tea as he shows you his own unique way of throwing. You will learn to tackle larger and more complex forms with more efficiency. This class is recommended for intermediate to advanced throwers. Students should be comfortable throwing 1-3 pounds of clay into simple cylinders and bowls.

All pieces will be bisque fired to pick up at a later date.

About Tea Duong:

Tea Duong immigrated from Vietnam to the United States as a young child. He has been a studio potter since 1986.  As an artist, he has studied and worked abroad in New Zealand, Australia and Europe. Currently, Mr. Duong maintains an expansive studio in the Coast Range of Western Oregon.

Tea has taught pottery classes for over twenty years. He has a masters degree from Truman State University (formerly Northeast Missouri State University) with an emphasis in art. Tea has his own unique wheel throwing techniques and has an amazing talent for conveying his knowledge in a personable and easy to understand way.
