Don Sprague Workshop

Fabulous Workshop for OPA and MHCC members, October 21 & 22, Saturday & Sunday, 9am-4pm.  

Location:  the Ceramics Studio at Mount Hood Community College.

This will be a hands-on workshop for both wheel-throwers and hand-builders.  Don Sprague will lead us through projects that encourage altering, joining, and creating complex forms.  More info will be sent to attendees as time gets closer to the Workshop.  To make sure that everyone hears about the workshop and has an equal chance to attend, we will open registration on August 15th.  Hope you can join us!

2023 High School Scholarship Winners and Honorable Mentions

Thanks to the sponsorship from Chown Hardware, the 2023 OPA High School Scholarship was able to award two $500 scholarships to winning applicants. The work submitted demonstrates outstanding ceramic technique, originality, artistic risk, and craftsmanship.

OPA has been invited to participate in the Hokkaido Pottery Society's (HPS) 55th anniversary exhibition in Sapporo, Japan at the end of October, 2023. OPA HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP


The OPA High School Scholarship is open to all high school juniors and seniors living in Oregon and SW Washington and will award $1000 to a student who shows creative and technical excellence in the field of ceramics. Applications are due in March.
