OPA invites you to submit your ceramic work for a juried Ceramics Exhibition, “Celebrate!”
Concurrent exhibitions of ceramic works will be shown in the Art Park in Hokkaido, Japan on October 21 through November 5, 2023 with selected works by Oregon Potters Association and Hokkaido Potters Society.
Please click here to apply for the show. Deadline to apply is May 15.
The exhibitions by Hokkaido Pottery Society and Oregon Potters Association will be held in celebration of the 55th Anniversary of HPS and the 20 year relationship between our two organizations. OPA artists are welcome to interpret the theme or idea of “Celebrate!” in their submitted work.
Twenty-five functional and sculptural ceramic works by members of OPA will be selected by a professional jurying team of three recognized ceramic artists and college level Ceramics educators--Jim Koudelka, John Hasegawa and Katy McFadden. Submission of ceramics works are open to all OPA members. A non-refundable application fee is $30.
Three digital images of your work may be submitted for jurying by May 15th. Images do not need to be professionally photographed but must be well presented. Ceramic pieces must not exceed 12 inches in any direction, and must be 100% ceramic material. No multi-media submissions can be considered. All submissions must be free standing ceramic only, no wall pieces.
Exhibited works can be available for sale with a commission fee, or NFS. Shipping costs for ceramics to Japan will be paid by OPA. Return shipping is the responsibility of the artist (or donate the work to HPS instead of return shipping.)
Full application (Call for Entry form) and images of work must be submitted by May 15, 2023
A special thanks to OPA for supporting this special opportunity!
