The following Board positions are open to interested OPA members:
Positions listed above are appointed by the OPA Board. All members interested in one of the above positions should email their resume and cover letter to Miranda DeVore email@example.com stating what board position they are applying for in the subject line. All members are encouraged to apply!
OPA’s board is made up of members who serve as board officers, directors and members at large. All board members work to oversee and ensure that programs and events further OPA’s mission and vision. The board meets once a month to discuss and vote on OPA business. Board officers check in with each other throughout the month sharing ideas and proposals for review. Board directors correspond and meet with their committees and ensure that programming for their specific area has the support it needs to continue. Sets agendas for and chairs Board and general membership meetings.
Vice President: Sets agendas for and chairs coordinator meetings. Can take the place of the President when needed.
Secretary: Records meeting minutes for Board and general membership meetings.
Treasurer: Oversees the fiscal operations of the organization and works with the Executive Director to present financial reports to the board.
Showcase Chair: Coordinates and manages the Ceramic Showcase program.
Development Chair: Oversees and coordinates all fundraising activities including grant writing, events and projects.
Clay In Education Director: Oversees all Clay in Education Programming and ensures that each coordinator has the necessary materials and support for their program.
Communications Director: Oversees all communication within and by the organization by ensuring that each member of the communications team has the materials and information needed to fulfill their role.
Membership Director: Maintains all online membership records, engages with current and new members and coordinates all membership activities. Oversees the membership committee.
Members at Large:
The members-at-large are responsible for attending Board meetings and conducting Board business.
